The Thinkware F100 is an updated version of the Thinkware F50, with the overall performance of the camera being improved. These improvements make the F100 an affordable front camera that is great value for money.
The 135° lens and Full HD recording quality of the front camera ensures that all footage captured in front of the vehicle is as clear as possible, the HD recording of the second camera will provide an even better view of any accident that does happen. This will provide indisputable evidence of any incident that occurs in front of the camera/s.
The Thinkware F100 also has parking mode, once the ignition is switched off the camera will go into parking mode. It will then stay in this mode until the battery voltage drops to a certain level or the vehicle is turned back on. When in parking mode, the camera will only save footage when it detects movement or an impact. Alternatively, you can put the F100 into time-lapse parking mode, when in this mode the camera will record at 1FPS for the duration of it’s parking mode.
The F100 has a few optional features that can add extra value to your dash camera. Through the use of the GPS antenna the camera is able to locate the vehicle and monitor the speed and direction of travel to provide court admissible evidence if an accident occurs. With the additional Locking Case the F100 can become tamper proof. The SD card slot and power cord are inside the case. This ensures the SD card and the footage it holds can not be changed by un-authorised personnel and that the camera can not be unplugged.
The F100 has two advanced warning systems, Lane departure warning system (LDWS) and Forward collision warning system (FCWS). These warning systems are optional and can be disabled in the settings menu of the Thinkware viewing software. Please note that these alerts will only function if a GPS antenna is fitted and the vehicle is travelling a minimum of 30 MPH. When the GPS antenna is connected, the camera will be able to provide safety camera alerts when you are approaching either a fixed or mobile camera hotspot.
FCWS- The driver is notified through an audible warning that the vehicle in front is slowing down or stopped to ensure that you do not have a rear-end collision.
LDWS- An audible warning will be issued to notify the driver when the vehicle is leaving its lane
